Stephenson Harwood’s award-winning rail team is co-hosting a webinar with SNC Lavalin Atkins, a leading consultant in the rail sector, on the 'Decarbonisation of rail: The journey from concept to reality’. As the railway moves forward in its plans to decarbonise the industry, this webinar will consider the role that new technology for rolling stock has to play in the journey. The panellists will look at the shift in traction energy, including hybrid, battery power development and hydrogen trains, and the challenges that this technology has to overcome in order to get off the drawing board and onto the operational railway – with the ultimate aim to make the technology commercially sustainable.
